Dr. Mark Murphy lives in Fergus Falls with his wife Marianne and the youngest of their three children who is a senior in high school this year. Dr. Murphy attended Purdue University and the University of Minnesota, graduating with degrees in Education and Biology in 1977. He attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, graduating in 1983. For the first ten years he was in private practice in Bloomington, MN and served on the faculty of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
Dr. Murphy and his family moved to Fergus Falls and joined the practice here in 1993. Since that time, he has studied extensively at the Pankey Institute in the area of reconstructive dentistry and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. He maintains several professional association memberships including the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, and Pankey Affiliated Learning Group. Continuing dental education is important to him and he completes numerous courses annually to keep on the leading edge of dental advancements and to keep dentistry fresh and interesting.
Outside the dental office, Dr. Murphy is a pilot with an instrument rating, and enjoys hunting, fishing and outdoor sports with his family. He is involved with the Christian youth ministry, YoungLife, as a local committee member.
